Nothin' But Jesus .:|:. How It All Began
The NBJ Band started when three of us; Smitty, Phil & Richard decided to continue ministering Christ after a group we were in called "Brethren" called it quits after many years of ministry in the New England area.
We needed a bass player so I asked my friend of many years Benny Benivides if he would fill in for a while, and he said yes. Ben stayed with us for about a year until his health deteriorated and he had to leave NBJ, but not before he asked Jesus to be his Savior...AMEN!
Is there a bass player out there Lord??? He sent David to join us, what a blessing. Now we are out and about New England again. We write all of the music we play (Jesus writes the good ones) and there is always plenty of Jesus in our songs, always will be! Our newest CD, called "Take it to the Streets", will be out soon.
We really don't know what tomorrow will bring for NBJ. We take it a day at a time. NBJ has partnered with many churches and ministries to be a vehicle to draw people in to hear the Word of God. This is our satisfaction, this is our joy, to see one life touched by the hand of God, forever, and that is enough for us.
NBJ is a fun group. We get together often for cookouts, birthdays, etc. with lots of laughs and giggles...thanks to corny David. We look forward to the next time we can share this music. Please pray for those in Prison who so often are the forgotton. Great things happen there each time we go in.
As the "World" grows darker, and as it slips down an ungodly slope, will you be a blazing light for Jesus???
